  • $37,500

House in need of complete renovation. Or build on cleared lot above main house for spectacular mountain views. Nice spot/excellent set up. Town water. Septic was new in 2001. Power is there. With state permit for septic, can subdivide property and build on pasture above the existing house (subdivision would also require well (or Town Water) & power, but latter is at the road). Existing house in need of major work.

Was getting ready to post this one when I noticed it’s pending sale already. Posting it anyway so we can see what happens. 9/27/19 edit: Back on the market, price reduced. Moved to the front page.

Fixed up, it could be as great as…

    Here’s a streetview:

This little town has a lot of early homes, mostly products of the mid-19th century marble industry.

Posted this a few months ago but it went into pending sale before I actually posted it. Went back to active and price lowered, moved to the front page.

Such graceful proportions and nice detail. I think if I were forced to pick a favorite style, Greek Revival might be the winner.

It clearly needs some help, bit it looks solid and square – a true classic with a ton of potential, in a lovely setting on a nice-sized piece of property. Hard to see the downside of this one…

Such nice bones…..my mind’s eye can easily imagine it before it was allowed to fall on hard times. Not a huge project, and what a satisfying project this could be. I love the proportions of the Greek Revival…..usually understated and elegant. This one qualifies….!!

    Please save this house!

  8. Can someone correct me? Looks like it’s been listed since 2016. I see someone bought it, but put relisted it. Is that right?
