We need volunteers to sit watch over this home, make sure no flippers flipping flip it. Or better, an OHD’er just needs to buy it.

Wow. Nearly unaltered. Worth multiple views to catch all the details. I never knew Vitrolite glass tile was made in 18×42 (guess) size and it’s in the baths AND in the kitchen. Metal-edge formica countertops. The triple medicine cabinet in the bathroom with the fluorescent tubes was the height of chic. Terrazzo floored lanai off the living room with period-correct padded bar and paneling. Metal kitchen cabinets which were likely repainted but look pristine. And all less than 200K.

This really is a superb house. I wish our commentary could be given to the buyers at or before Closing. There are many comments that may be very useful to a buyer. In addition, they may want to also ask advice. The Realtor might want to help and pass our commentary along.

So much vitrolite! Just remove the carpet in the living room and move in.
Also, I volunteer to sit watch!

The free-form, vaguely amoeba-shaped, forms on the built-ins of the master bedroom are amazing (like pretty much everything here). They serve as drawer pulls and would make an event out of merely retrieving your socks each morning. WANT!

Wow! Not my style, but this home is remarkably well preserved. The kitchen really needs an authentic vintage stove to complete it!

Wow! I grew up in a house that aspired to be this house and seeing this one is a walk down memory lane. All it is missing is a night shot of the front yard with colored floodlight landscape lighting. My bathroom was the peachy-pink and dark terracotta version of this one right down to the mirror/lighting setup. If anybody flips it and rips all the good things out of it (as my uncle did to the house I was raised in ((yes, I’m still bitter)) ) I volunteer to be on the shin-kicking committee.

This is not normally my kind of home, but heck, I’d move in. I love LOTS of windows, and was drooling over WHERE I’d put the puzzle table, and how I’d make a few changes to the 4-season room and use it partially as a garden room.

Are we not going to talk about the organ with its own nook in the living room?

I almost fell out of my chair over the kitchen. Like several people have said, this isn’t my favorite architectural style, but I want to watch Lawrence Welk in this house SO BAD. I’d buy this place so fast.

Old Blue Eyes should be walking in any moment. Fantastic, isn’t it? Don’t see them this original much. I agree with ‘watching over it’. Hopefully the agent and seller will sell to the right buyer. Only issue here is $7000 a yr in taxes. Why Illinois, Why…

The master bathroom door is frosted glass for Pete’s sake! Those can’t be original hardwood floors can they?

My wife’s favorite style. If I showed her this house we would be moving. That kitchen is a dream. I hope the new owners realize what they have!

OMG…Im in love! The only thing, and im sure everybody on here will agree on, I would do is add a period style stove and refrigerator to that fantastic kitchen. I wonder if there is hardwood floor under the living room carpet? If not, I would still replace with updated carpeting, nothing else, this house is fantastic in every dripping ounce of space. LOVE IT!!!

Please do not touch this house! It’s perfect just the way it is! The ONLY thing I would change would be the carpeting. OMG! The master bath is gorgeous…that kitchen is crying for 1950’s soft pink appliances! Does the organ come with the house? I bet it sounds great in its own space.
