Love this house. Nice woodwork, floors, doors etc. That kitchen has so much potential. I’d pull out the 1950s/1960s kitchen and put the wall back up to create that butlery and do other wonderful things to it.

I love this house! So many original features and woodwork remain. I love the tower. It would be nice to see more pictures like the attic and how that is accessed.

  3. Now that is how you do built-in storage! Gorgeous and super functional. And who doesn’t want a rolling ladder??
The kitchen really doesn’t need those hanging cupboards, I find that they always close the space in and cut off sight lines.
I’d love to see photos of the original kitchen setup, see if it’s something I would want to put back in. Otherwise, I would pull out the counters and overhead cabinets. Put the sink in front of the window, fridge and stove possibly where they already are, and put an island in instead of that peninsula. I’d keep the old stove too, and would use it! I wonder if they do use it? Because otherwise, they don’t have an oven. That kitchen would be really nice and spacious without the overhead obstacles.

The sunny corner by the wood stove needs Grandma in a rocking chair, rocking a baby in a cradle, with a black kitty trying to steal her ball of yarn.

For the rest of the house, wallpaper and carpet be gone! Maybe backdate the bathrooms.

That beautiful bank of built-ins in the DR is very unusual. I have seen the like before in a family DR (breakfast room), but never in a formal DR. They’re gorgeous!

Diggin the vintage, Red Skelton sad clown picture. I only know that’s him because he’s from Vincennes, and my dad never shuts up about him. Heheheh. 😉
