I will supply the signage if the next owners call this “Big Butt Farm”. I wouldn’t have cared what the interior of the home looked like, I’d buy this right now if I could.

America has the best place names. The rest of the world can try, but cannot win.

In 2012, Shitterton was voted “Britain’s worst place-name” in a survey carried out by genealogy website Find My Past, beating Scratchy Bottom in Dorset and Brokenwind in Aberdeenshire. That will be all.

This is near where I grew up. The mountains are beautiful and so peaceful. You could live in an RV while you restored the house.

I believe that the quaint village of Pulmephinger is nearby…

In the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia
On the trail of the lonesome Pine
In the pale moonshine our hearts entwine
Where you carved your name and I carved mine

Oh, you – like the mountains are blue
Like the pine – I am lonesome for you
In the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia
On the trail of the lonesome Pine

On a mountain in Virginia stands a lonesome Pine
Just below is the little cabin home of a little girl of mine
Her name is June and very, very soon shell belong to me
For I know shes waiting there for me neath that lone Pine tree

An old Laurel and Hardy tune and I’ve been humming it while looking at today’s homes. Not sure why anyone would think this home need drastic remodeling (from the current photos) as it looks well kept, updated and perfect.

I’m confused. Did they build over the log structure? The house is adorable and looks very well maintained. I would love to see some interior photos because the exterior is great!
And I would have no problem calling this “Big Butt Farm”. I’m sure the locals would understand.
