    The only downside I see is the water treatment plant next door. Is it the smelly kind or not….?

    The stairs are steep, but you get used to them pretty fast. We had a house that had steep stairs that were padded and carpeted with a plush carpet. Yes, I fell down those a couple of times because the treads were so rounded! I wouldn’t have a problem with these since they are bare wood!
