On the National Register of Historic homes, The Whitehurst House was built by one of Haywood County's earliest settlers in 1910 and has remained in the same family since its construction. Many original features remain with the home, including the main entrance, composed of a single-light and wood panel door with Queen Anne style leaded glass transom and sidelights, original windows, and heart pine floors throughout. Soaring 12' ceilings. Bead board ceilings. 4 Exterior doors. Screened porches.
