It would take a lot of work, but she really could be a stunner…sigh. So sad, I hope someone comes along and saves her.

I could (and would, if family would allow) sell my SoCal house and buy this beauty several times over and still have enough money left over for a top-of-the-line restoration. And street view looks great!

    • Lol—I know what you mean—my husband & I live in CapitolHill, DC—beautiful neighborhood (yes—really, I didn’t believe it before I was here either tho)—but it’s SO expensive—houses on my block average +/-1million for 2/MAYBE 3beds/~1200sq/ft. We rent an apartment—I keep trying to explain we could buy something like this AND restore exactly exactly how we want & *save* a kings fortune!—Or at least a knights fortune…MD & VA are still quite expensive—but there’s plenary to restore & no shortage of period salvage. But ppl always think us Coasters look down on the places in between—most ppl I know are actually envious of the affordable housing that we can only dream about😳

Looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 1970s. Definitely has promise. Can’t believe that price can be in Maryland.

It needs a lot, I know, but a GREENHOUSE (!!!) will cover a multitude of sins and win me over every single time.

Poor old house. It’s like that sweet dog at the animal shelter with the big sad eyes. I hope someone will take on its restoration. The staircase is fabulous.

Such a mixture of styles & finishes. Fireplaces are nice, narrow vinyl siding doesn’t cut it for me. At least front has been painted and gives a good impression.

  12. All for those stairs!

(And maybe a bit for the tub that has a picket fence.)
