What a fantastically odd place! I’ve never heard of steel construction outside of Lustron houses. I’m curious to find out the history of the home. Between the construction method and the stone porch, it appears the original owner was going for sturdy!

Love, love, love the blue tile kitchen, not so much the blue tile bath…over all the house is great, I’d move in.

I love it! The first house I remember my grandparents living in had floors like that. I can still remember the sound they made when people walked on them.

    That porch is fantastic.

The Vitrolite bathroom is not something I would have selected but I do love it and since it is already there…

Check out the steel structure visible in the basement ceiling.

I wonder if this was an experimental kit house?

My first thought (with the first pic) was that it looked like a trailer. Then I saw the interior, and the stone porch, and the tile work, and the woodwork – and I’m in LOVE!

I love this house and that bathroom! That tile needs the proper toilet, tub and sink so it can shine.

Agreed! I would put tile on the floor, too (not Vitrolite; some ceramic tile that complements the midnight blue).

This is just fabulous, especially the aqua tile in the kitchen and the dark blue Vitrolite in the bathroom. I want to put it in my pocket and bring it home with me.
