401 N 4th St, Greene, IA 50636

Formerly the home of the Honorable Senator Charles Gates. This home has 9' 9 ceilings, pocket doors, large windows and decorative trim. None of the woodwork has been painted, extremely rare to find unmolested woodwork in these Estate Homes. This home has over a 1/2 acre heavily treed corner lot, plenty of room for landscaping, gardening or outdoor seating areas. Most of the large items have been completed toward restoration; furnace, central air, electrical and plumbing. Very few homes are in the condition to enable a grand restoration, this is one of them, it just needs an astute individual to complete the journey in returning this home to its former nobility.
