Charming and gorgeous farmhouse built circa 1890! History abounds in this farmhouse that has been beautifully restored and included inside the home was once the original Brush Creek post office. The property is a full, functioning farm with two barns, fenced in pastures, riding arena, a spring and a bold creek running the property. There are garden areas and animal pens around the property. It is very easily accessible by paved roads. You can sit on your front porch and enjoy the sounds of nature and the views of the mountains. There are many additional building sites possible and the property is unrestricted.

OH MAN! I love the cute little house with that kitchen and the creek and the land and . . . If I could retire right now I would jump on this.

I am retired but all that land is too much for me to handle and I don’t want to buy it and split it up. Somebody will buy it that it is absolutely perfect for, I’m sure of it.!! It’s such a cozy place, and all that peace and quiet is just amazing!!

I am new to the site, well newly registered. I was “addicted” after my first visit a couple of years ago. Perusing each new post is my daily guilty pleasure!! Love this home, so sweet! I can just imagine sitting on the porch during a summer rain sipping iced tea.

Whoa, now that is what I call pure country. Just know it has to be ever so peaceful there. What is described as a bold creek looks more like a small stream. Would be a good place to get away from it all.

I love this, so peaceful looking. I believe this would be called a “cove” in the Appalachians, a small valley between two ridgelines that’s usually closed at the upper end. Like the fictional “Black Cove” in the fantastic novel “Cold Mountain.”

In another life, I’d love to retire here and see if I could make a go of living off the grid and being self-sufficient.

A beautiful location not too far from Asheville, lots of forests around. Wonder what a “bold creek” is–different from a timid creek(!?) 🙂

Apparently “bold creek” is an actual real estate term that usually means a year-round creek, as opposed to one that may dry up in the summer. It may also refer to one that is liable to overrun its banks during spring runoff.
