The ca 1882 William Root House was the home of the son of Chapman Root who started the Root Glass Co which invented the Coca Cola bottle. The distinctive Queen Anne architecture features a second floor "observatory" porch and wrought iron window grills (a reaction to the Lindbergh kidnapping.) The interior spaces feel much more spacious than the quaint exterior projects with tall ceilings, French moldings and a noteworthy marble mantle reportedly of Italian origin. The two rare main floor en-suite bedrooms are incredible for the period of the home. This wonderfully intact home is a rare jewel for the devotee of historic architecture.
