Here is your chance to own a unique piece of history! The Dobler house was the summer home to A.F. Dobler - best known for his brewery in Albany, NY. Dobler was no stranger to the finer things in life and built this home with intricate and ornate details. This Queen Anne Victorian offers hand carved designs of wheat, oats and barley honoring Doblers occupation as a brewer. Lovingly restored wood work along with modern amenities make this a welcoming home or fantastic business opportunity.

Great house! Looks like kitty is in heaven in that feather bed washed with a patch of sun. She found the perfect winter spot. Cool radiator in the front hall.

This is another example of brave owners saving a major piece of our history that would not have survived otherwise. They deserve our thanks.

Such sweet words. Thank you for saying that. 16 years and many nights fixing up this place. Still many projects to be done. I love this house so much but we are sadly out of time and resources. Time to move on.

The interior feels like an old leather bag: sturdy, elegant and nicely worn. I especially like the built-ins integrated into the stairs. Could make a nice admin. building for the facility abutting the property.

Haha! All of those beds to choose from & the cat finds the one with the feather bed topper that almost swallows it up!
Weird how the recent photo appears to have smaller/shorter windows than the older photo.

The roof and windows height was my first thought. My second thought was…. heavy cat or bad mattress?

The old photo is incorrect. I think that is only because someone squished the photo left to right thus making everything appear tall and narrow. They didn’t preserve aspect ratio of the photo when they created the image scan.

Looks like a great carriage house in the background too.
