Comparing the old pics to the current to me it looks like the flippers are trying to double their investment. Good luck to them. The house has some beautiful details. I don’t care for the modern hot water heat system that ruins the look of the baseboards. They are efficient and great in a newer home otherwise I like the big registers like most old homes have.

Love the look of the living room and stair. The one thing that breaks my heart is when I see a beautiful old house like this and the integrity is kept in some of the rooms and then (most often) the kitchen is a contemporary modern style.

Totally agree about the woodwork Tomdg1. It’s nice to see a fellow Iowan on this site occasionally! (I live in Des Moines)

Yep. I take a look at the site every day. We have been renovating and restoring vintage and historic houses for years.

Definite improvement to the place, looks like it was rather rough beforehand. The landscaping is a great improvement, really ups the curb appeal.

I do not like that they painted some of the woodwork.
I do not like that they did not follow the rules about staggering flooring tiles/boards/whatever in the bathroom. I’d have to pull that up real quick or I’d go squirrely.
The kitchen is, well, a flippers kitchen.

The new baseboard heater aesthetic could be improved a lot by painting them dark brown. The avalanche of gables on the front is quite pleasing to look at!

The very reason I posted it, love all those gables! I can imagine how awesome the exterior would look with a proper restoration.
