My eyes are itching to see the inside of this one. Anyone local?

I am! This hadn’t even popped up on my radar yet, I just emailed the realtor about maybe getting in to update the photos. I hate to see it sitting empty!

Why yes, this is the former home to President Lincoln’s family, & I live here!! This is awesome & a great opportunity!! I would probably be more overwhelmed by the history of this home than any amount of repairs!! More pics PLEASE!! Even without them, come on lottery, pick me!!

This beautiful home has a magical quality about it, in spite of the fact that it fronts a very busy highway. I have walked around the outside, but have not been inside. I saw just a few interior photos online a couple of years ago, but cannot find them now. I did find this news article. https://www.whsv.com/content/news/Home-of-Abraham-Lincolns-family-home-to-be-preserved-in-the-Valley-421771283.html

So since it is for sale, did they not get the funding? Would love to see the inside. I hope someone who wants to preserve history can step in.

Thanks to Kelley for sharing this link, photos from when it was listed previously. Scroll down just a tad to see the 48 photo album. Mostly exterior, you can see a glimpse of the interior.

For that price, for THAT history, someone with a strong love of awesome homes and exciting history has to loosen the purse strings! c’mon this doesn’t come around all the time, I wish it could be me.

Impressive history but it doesn’t look like much from a distance. A close-up of the entry shows some amazing Federal detail, and the house could be a real showpiece with a proper restoration.
