Needs some updating, some of the “updates” are questionable spiral staircase in the kitchen? for example.
Just my kind of quirky. Great price!
I LOVE IT!
For this price, 2 houses, absolutely! Now I wonder how much for the house across the street that is covered in overgrowth? That house looks to be from the 1870’s with those high pitched rooflines.

The home across the street reminded me of a home I was completely in love with. It was also built in the 1870’s. Torn down for a not-so-great park. 🙁

I saw the house across the street in the street view. It suffers from a bit more than overgrowth as you see it from the side street. Sadly it won’t be long for that house.
I am in awe of the two houses that are here. I would want to undo some of the updates but still a lot of houses for the money!

Well can I buy the part that has not been “renovated” and give back the part that has?
If only we could, Bethany! If only we could. Sigh…
2 homes for 105 thousand in a heartbeat!
I have to show this to a family member
Why would anyone put that spiral staircase there or anywhere ….such potential
If you go to the street view and then back out a few clicks you’ll see the house across the road has been torn down.

Buy now and you’ll get this lovely $105,000 house in reasonable shape with 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathes and over 2000 square feet. BUT WAIT! You’ll also get this adorable second house ABSOLUTELY FREE!!! (Taxes, insurance, labor and repairs apply.)
Wish we could get some pics of the inside of that second house. It’s adorable, too.

318. W. Marcus St. has 1704 sq. ft. (not 2000) 2 baths, no bedrooms listed. Taxes for 2017 were $269. Tax appraisal value 2017 was $6,937. Trulia has the house number for the main house as 8776. Go figure. The taxes and appraisal value may include both houses but that seems pretty low for the big house. Didn’t see any info on it.
Word of warning though. The roof on the main house may look like slate, but often it’s asbestos. Hard to get people to work with it and whether they’re slate or asbestos, they’re slippery which makes those steep angles difficult to find someone to accept the job…around here anyway. Slate is expensive if you have to replace it and abatement isn’t cheap either unless you do it yourself with reasonable protection. Then, I’d have as close to a lifetime architectural shingle installed and you’ll never have to worry about it again. If those shingles are slate, they’re hard to come by. You could probably pay off the new roof if you could find someone to sell them to. lol

Listing updated and doesn’t mention the 2nd home or include the photo anymore. So guess now it’s just one home that’s for sale.

The home next door is back up for sale (the second home originally with this one), separately. Only $15,000! No interior photos. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/318-N-Marcus-St-Wrightsville-GA-31096/93104989_zpid/
Is that spiral staircase the main staircase? I’m thinking it’s a secondary staircase in the kitchen that was modernized. I would love to see the main staircase if this is the fact. i really wish people taking photos would take more detail pictures. Beautiful house though.
Chestatee, GA
It’s probable when this home was built there was only attic space accessed through a pull down or hole in the ceiling. The spiral staircase is the “main” staircase but what kind of usable space upstairs is the question. 🙂
