I was going to pass on posting this one but the view would be worth doing whatever to the home.

This could be an exciting project, and for the price, you receive a lot.

Now, at that price, I could afford to make a few improvements.

I’m afraid my improvements would include removal of the new windows, and restoring the openings to their historically correct sizes, and removal of the aluminum/vinyl siding and restoring the wood siding underneath if it’s still there, replacing it with new wooden siding if it is not, in addition I’d replace the aluminum porch columns with period appropriate wooden columns and brackets, based on old photographs if possible and nearby homes if no photograph is available, and of course the milling of period appropriate interior woodwork for the recreated window and door openings.

Then I’d move on to the interior fittings, kitchen, bathrooms, etc. For that price, you could afford do do all that…. I might even keep that amazing fireplace surround-mantle!

    I’ll take it!

House looks square and straight with a decent roof. Obviously needs a bunch of work, hopefully all that stick down tile is not full of asbestos. That fireplace is very country and just my style.
That porch definitely needs rocking chairs and a swing.

Awe, He’s a handsome old guy. I’m not sure why but I love those stairs. The red roof on the rear addition is… an interesting choice.

This one just made me sad. The only thing I liked was the closed in stairs.
