What a wonderful “diamond in the rough!” If I were younger, had more money, lived in Florida…..sigh….I hope this treasure finds the perfect new owner who will cherish it and bring it back to its original beauty. <3

I really like the simple turned porch columns. They don’t look like they were from a catalog and all appear to be there. Maybe they are made of something like cypress since they have not rotted.

What a cute house. The train tracks are a cool feature!

SWEEEEEEEET! and who knows if those are active tracks or not, maybe they are turning them into a bike track,,,,,..just sayin!:)!

My aunt used to have a house next to the tracks in Osceola, Ia. When we slept there, the trains would speed through there, and it felt like one of those old fashioned vibrating beds that the motels used to have. HA!

I live and farm about 25 minutes southeast of Live Oak. Check out Our Santa Fe Rver. inc. to get feel for the beauty of north central Florida. See yall at Riverfest.

We missed the sound when one of the trains did not run on time at night

Congratulations! Originally from Live Oak. Left in 5th grade so don’t remember a whole lot of houses but my grandmother, Georgia Dowling Butler Ambrose, had the home at 406 Duval which is now a very good restaurant I hear. When we lived there for awhile I never paid any attention to the trains other than it rattled the old windows. If and when I am ever down there again, I’ll drive by and hope you house is looking like love. Be sure to repost when complete. Old homes are beautiful treasures.
