Come and enjoy this historical beauty!! Daniel T. Hedges, who plated this section of Jackson Street, constructed this house with outstanding Queen Anne characteristics. The quartzite stone veneer over the first floor exterior sets it apart. Home features include six bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large foyer and three decorative fireplaces. Central air. The basement is finished with a wet bar, bathroom and walkout to the wrap~around deck. With a four stall garage, there is something for everyone!!!!

I drive past this house on almost a daily basis! It appears almost a cottage in comparison to some of the homes on the street, but have always been drawn to this one and the very similar house next door. The current owner restores old cars and there is almost always one at the end of the driveway for sale. The street is fairly busy as it is the main street into downtown (unless you come around either side of the city) and is several blocks from an excellent hospital. This house is about 2 blocks down from what used to be the Sioux City public museum (now a beautiful place for wedding receptions with a 3rd floor ballroom), a b&b (The Linda Sue) and a couple of other privately owned “mansions.” Always fun to drive down Jackson and dream of owning one of these!
