My first thought was what kind of tiles are in the solarium. Gotta have beautiful tiles!

What a beautiful home. I wish it was in a setting with more land and big trees. It seems somewhat stifled on a standard sized city lot.

Yes, it’s stunning and imposing and needs room to breathe! I expect maybe at one time it had more.

For that price I’d be worried the inside is a wreck.

Im so glad there are pictures this time! This place is stunning! The last time it was posted there were only pictures of the exterior, you had no idea what the interior looked like. Im sure that there is more charm to see when a walk through is done, this is such a grand place. Battle Creek is a beautiful area in Michigan and the fall season is breath taking.

I was pretty unhappy at that laundry room. Washers and sinks can leak, and badly. I don’t see why they put those directly on a wood floor.

It’s wonderful to see the interior finally. One of my pet peeves is a realtor’s reluctance to photograph staircases properly – or, at all. I am guessing this house has a handsome one with iron railings, placed in the bay window, lined with limestone: see the photo fourth from the bottom where the stair descends to the lower level. Why not show it in the foyer? Photo five from the bottom appears to be an interesting Ratskeller in the basement. One wonders what the original kitchen and baths were like. Wonderful house for a great price.

Go to the zillow listing!! 60+ photos and omg this is gorgeous inside!

You can see several angles of the staircase, too!

Thanks for that. The staircase is as fine as I imagined it. Thanks to further pictures, the Ratskeller shows enormous potential if changed back to an atmospheric family room or den, with a handy kitchenette nearby. I am no technophile, but are ceiling projectors and screens becoming passe for home viewing?

That is a gorgeous home. The only thing I would change is the blue trim in the one room. Everything else looks fabulous!! The woodwork makes me drool!!

I love this whole house! Wish I could hug it. Wonderful tile, woodwork, ceiling work, the entire package. Outside is as impressive and inside. And for what a price! Why can’t I move to Michigan?

If you look on Google Earth you’ll see a couple of things…. 1. Shrubbery thats now gone. 2. This house is on a corner lot and on the two sides are what look like infill houses. Much smaller and a later date than the Tudor. Probably had a bigger yard, but if you included those houses as originally part of the Tudor property its still a smaller yard than what you might expect on a house of this caliber. Then again, maybe the original owner didn’t like yard work…..

Also looked like an above ground pool where the basketball court is.

Go to the zillow listing – tons more photos!

As Tudor is one of my top three favorite styles I am still reeling over this. At $290K it seems awfully underpriced, but thoroughly gorgeous!
I like the shot of the basement where at least two previous iterations of kitchen cabs can be seen with a work surface on top, lol.

Yay interior photos! GearGirl is right; check out the zillow photos. One of the best Tudor living rooms I’ve ever seen and I love the bow window in the stairway. What a great price.

This is such a wonderful house, for what seems like an amazing price. And the taxes aren’t even incredibly high. It must simply be that not many people want that particular kind of home in that particular locale.

For this house to be under $300k, is amazing. what a shame it would be to have it degrade over time from lack of repair.
