Sometimes I feel like commenting here is just a broken record and I don’t bother. But geez, this house is awesome! Lots of vintage goodness, so much potential, and in my favorite state in the union!

When its something positive, comment! It’s highly motivating for me plus I’m sure the owners would love it.

I bet I can guess the owners favorite color! 😊 This home is so lovely and you can tell they were quite happy with their original design decisions. Thanks for sharing.

I rarely comment, but love this site so much so thank you Kelly. This house is simply lovely, though I feel sad, as looking at the images I get the feeling a family lived here for many years, caring for it and respecting the building and now it’s an estate sale since they have either died or had to go into care. It’s a beauty.

Rothschild is not far from Wausau. There are 3 worldclass healthcare centers here as well as a lot to do. It’s like a mini Madison, schools are good, and taxes are fairly low.

Wish there had been more pics of the kitchen. Do you think that was the original placement of the kitchen sink? I would have thought it would have been where the windows are.
Love the door/book shelves in pic #17….

I am so glad that other people see that this home is a real reflection of the humans that have lived here for decades. It is what a home is all about. I see original elements of the beautiful original design and the changes that people make as time passes. The pole lamps, the console stereo, and the wallpaper show that it drips with the life of people that lived there. Now that is history. There is no attempt to make it look any different than what it is and what it was. I would love to move in with my dog and just resume my life with those that have preceded me.
