I know, it’s a pitiful thing but see something in this that could be turned into something pretty cute.

It’s a doll’s house! That lovely floor, pocket doors, breakfast snug, and the stained glass window upstairs… It just needs to have some “updates” erased. County records say 2226 square feet. Someone must be including the basement. I could almost deconstruct it and ship it to WA, for that price. But then I’d need land for it. Don’t think it would fit within my current home’s setbacks, alas.

North Meridian Street in Brazil, Indiana, has the best collection in town of late 19th and early 20th century homes including a few mansion grade examples. While calling this house a mansion is a bit of a stretch, it does have some nice details. A bonus would be to find an open staircase and a couple of period mantels but they may not be present. Brazil is a pleasant quiet smaller town only 16 miles almost due east of the much larger city of Terre Haute.

I have family that lives in this town, and its amazing how many stores and restaurants this small town has. Its a quiet town, but has a lot of charm. The house is great for the price.
