A whole family of two families. The other half is more intensified, the other half is nostalgic for 60-70. The history of the story and the log cabin atmosphere. Come and save me. Here are opportunities for many, think what could be your own purpose.

The other half is ready to move. Sauna facilities / additional wing built in the 1980's. There is enough work / renovation / renovation, ie no new building. This is suitable for old woodcutters! Own 4110 m2 plot. The municipal drinking water, its own precipitation wells. Good road connections. To the center of Taivassalo about 8 km. Hakkenpää beach a mile away. Shares in common areas.

I used Google Translate so if anyone speaks Finnish, feel free to do a better translation from the agencies description, site linked up top.

    1988 Fake Greek Revival!

I wouldn’t do much to this intriguing place. I love the simple, spare honesty of Finnish houses.

Super interesting. Thanks’ Kelly! It appeals to my fascination with big old Dachas. Love seeing it kitted out in sublime Nordic minimalism, with what are possibly many remnants of an estate as staging. I’m right there through the great photography. Nice.

So I could live with all these wonderful ceramic stoves for such a reasonable price? AND a sauna? Makes having a summer home in Finland look like a possibility (to avoid the winters!) Thanks Kelly for this unusual share.

I love the Nordic style, clean and simple…hgyye!! I wonder how they feel about immigrants. From the travelogues I have seen, Finnish cuisine is not exactly vegetarian friendly, (lots of fish and reindeer)but there’s always lingonberry tart…

Now I have the old Monty Python song going through my mind:

“Finland, Finland, Finland! The country where I quite want to be!”

Well we can see an open shower in one of the pic, I think this is the room on the bottom left near the sauna on the floor plan.

I wonder if we can find those ceramic heaters here in the US? They must be fairly strong heaters as so many of these places have them.
Thanks for these international listings Kelly…very interesting to see how other countries homes present themselves.

I’m loving the international homes as well Kelly. These are wonderful! Thank you.

This is so neat! I love that each one of those fireplaces has its own “personality.” The green one looks like you could jump through it into the Ministry of Magic.

Take the time to stroll the Google street map!

Oh, absolutely. Everyone needs to take Dennis’ advice on this one!

I am so glad we got another Finnish home on the site. Such a dynamic, different country, and it is reflected in the homes.

I can’t understand why these types of fireplaces/woodstoves have not taken off in the USA. I would much rather have one of these beautiful tiled and EFFICIENT stoves in my house than one of those pot-bellied or fakey looking pellet stoves. These things are brick lined and just toasty. You can buy a kit and do it yourself.
