Build date given was 1870 but this is home looks a bit more c. 1900-1915. Check out the street view, across the street from a pretty park and the neighborhood has some cute homes too.

Wow the street view was so lovely– what a nice neighborhood & park — across the street from the house? Love the curved windows. Thanks Kelly! Absolutely fabulous house & a gem. What wonderful condition!

  2. Very nice! Might there be hardwood under those carpets?

That’s a lot of carpet, white as well. That wouldn’t stay that color with my grand kids. I would like a peek under the carpet. It would be nice to see another color other than white on the outside.

The incongruous facade asymmetry really bugs me: other than that, this place is a GEM! That price! This big, solid, beautiful house – absolutely COMPLETELY unmolested – with all that GORGEOUS trim – and all those RAD fixtures – for $130K!! That is just amazing. SOMEBODY is going to get the deal of the century on this one.

I’m hoping with the gorgeousness that is still there, that the floors are beautiful. I despise carpet in an old house that hides the floors, especially when they have a design in them.

Beautiful house. Love the big windows, the doors, pocket doors, built-in cabinets, and all the wood work. Real treasure.

This house is wonderful! Love the beautiful woodwork, pocket doors and other features. Ross said when the Cross House was built, wall to wall carpets were modern then-1890s & this era 1900-1910s –hardwood floors but nothing special. Not parquet or inlay. Of course some fancy houses had fancy floors. This house doesn’t have a lot of fancy carving & trims . Beautiful wood but w/o flourishes. So it would fit. I noticed other white houses in the immediate area. I wonder what the original paint colors were when it was built. I bet lovely colors.

Hey guys! I live in this tiny little town. The gentleman who bought this place has plans to backdate and update appropriately, so this gem will live on, but be even more amazing!
