My grandfather was from Nova Scotia–I wish I could claim this place as my ancestral home! Beautiful!

So was my grandfather! Mine was from the Halifax area, how about yours?

        I don’t know, and he’s gone so I can’t ask 😞

No one else in your family knows anything?

Nova Scotia has lots of historical records online, that are free to research. That’s how my sister and I found our ancestors in NS, and then spent a week up there! What a gorgeous place! Google the Halifax, NS Historical Society. It’s a fabulous place, and also has a fascinating display about the sinking of the Titanic (NS rescued a lot of the victims, and there’s a cemetery full of those who didn’t make it).

Well kept home. Lots of nice woodwork, Liked the kitchen with beadboard and old kitchen sink. Anne of Green Gables farm in Nova Scotia is a lovely large old farm house in Green and white. I would move there in a minute as it is a truly beautiful place. This is lovely house to be admired.

The Anne of Green Gables stories took place in Prince Edward Island, another Canadian province, but I’m sure there are many beautiful, similar farms in Nova Scotia. I love the kitchen sink and kitchen floor in this lovey house!

Fully restored and energy efficient and I absolutely love the kitchen and the claw foot tubs in the bathrooms. I hate the cold but this home makes me want to experience “warm and cozy” living in the dead of winter. Great job by the current owners…
