Thanks to the owner for sharing her home with us.

She wanted to mention…”…the painted woodwork…the original wood was in such poor condition that it was either patch and paint or replace. I was not at all open to replacing, so the original stayed with a fresh coat of paint. LOTS of bug damage, damage from 130 years of nails, staples and water. We preserved and protected, and left what we could exposed.”

Really pretty home, IMO! The only thing I would personally change would be the upper open shelving in the kitchen, to closed cabinetry (re: dusting!). The corner eating space with its windows is so bright & cheery. And I esp. love the green themed bedroom & its bird wallpaper. And this house, with a master bedroom and en-suite bathroom on the first floor, makes it ideal for ‘aging in place’.

  3. This is a stunner of a house & beautifully decorated. Wow!

Hello Owner of This Beautiful Home,

If you see this and know the answer, can you let me know the color and brand of the exterior paint? I saw your home on another site and showed it to my husband just this morning. We own an 1892 Queen Anne that is due for a paint job and I just love this color. I can’t decide if it’s blue or purple (lilac? Violet?). Really lovely. Ok , have a great day! P.s. The woodwork looks great, too!

      Hello kind viewer!!
We LOVE the color too, and it’s a true periwinkle, which means it’s really neither blue nor purple but a wonderful combo of both. We chose a color that was on the list of approved historical colors, and the actual color is supposed to be PURPLE. Luckily, it mixed up periwinkle.
It’s Valspar, but sadly the mix tag has come off. I’ll hunt and see if I can find the original paint chip!!

What a beautifully furnished home! Each room was full of such unique pieces. I loved the beds…and the breakfast nook…and the kitchen! The open shelves allow you to display lovely dishes. So, so pretty. I would definitely need to buy the whole package if I were buying this house.

This is the most fabulous Florida home! From the roof, to the paint colors and the trees..It’s absolutely beautiful. I love the floors and the combination of the wallpaper choices with the bed linens. Everything in this home blends together so well, from the light fixtures to that really awesome fridge. It’s just so lovely all around.

It’s a stunning home. My beef is only that unless the furniture is included I’d like to see less photos of the decorating and more of the rooms for a size perspective. That being said, LOVE IT.
