This is such a cool old house. I like the Art Deco detail above the built in shelving unit which was no doubt added later. The vintage kitchen , though not my personal taste is great and something I would leave alone if this were my home. This place really needs someone to love it back to life as it has so many great features.

There is sooooo much that can be done easily and inexpensively to correct the deficiencies. And the price….. Wow. The price would allow even a modest budget to make enormous improvements. I hope someone will take the challenge. Nice little house which is actually better than many “starter” houses available around the country.

The huge garage, the new roof, the new hot water heater, and the new electrical are all well worth the asking price.

    The house, thus, is free!

This seems like a great deal.

    LOVE the knotty-pine kitchen!

Like John in his comment, I don’t think I’d install a knotty pine kitchen, and I know that’s a later addition, but I kind of like it anyway. That semi circle window seat is fantastic! And as an old car lover as well as an old house lover, that garage is great. To those “in the know”, a lot of the woodwork is painted…do you think there’s nice wood under it? Or is this a case of wood that was intended to be painted?

Evening all: In the 11th picture from the bottom in what appears a top floor. What is the black spot to the right next to the window and a bit on the window trim? It looks like something blacked out on the photo. It looks like a good cleaning is mostly what is needed.

It’s not blacked out, looks like a garbage bag covering something or just stuck in a hole.

Hi Kelly thanks I wasn’t saying you had blacked it out. I thought the listing agent may have because of graffiti or something written on the wall. Now that I am awake it does look like a plastic bag for some reason.
The ads state that the garage is attached. It is attached via the berm in the back wall of the garage to the basement, which is way cool. I do feel sorry for the person or persons that have put so much into it(huge garage, the new roof, the new hot water heater, and the new electrical and attaching the garage to the house) to have to sell it.
        Sorry again,
        Ashley J.

I found more pictures from 2015.It was reasonably clean and was lived in. I love this one but unfortunately the winters are too much.

Leaded windows are wonderful as are the built ins. Like the knotty pine kitchen. Half-circular padded bench is inviting. Nice old home.
