Mainly posting because of the land, barn. The interior is a mess but glad to see a few original windows are left.

Is this house older than its listing says? Could it have originally been an Italianate? A photo of the stairway might give a clue. If not an Italianate, One could dress it up as one with period elements and make it a showplace. I can see corbels at the roof, dressed up porches, and working shutters making it special. The barn certainly looks like it could be 19th century, but I really don’t know what I am talking about.
The thing that I would like best is that at the asking price, dressing it for the 19th century should be financially doable, and possibly give a return as well.

Definitely older than the listing says, and absolutely Italianate. The realtor probably didn’t think the staircase was worth showing in pictures because it’s probably enclosed.

I’d be seriously tempted to take this on.

OMG, I just fell in love, with the BARN. It could make the most amazing home. Talk about dreaming. I’m already imagining the bedrooms upstairs and laying out the floor plans, and the most amazing open kitchen. Love it.

It could be fixed up nicely, I think. No worse and some better than some we see. Needs new roof? Barns are nice, just needs some love and attention.
