What a beautiful home! Allegan is a sweet, small community in southwest MI, not far from Lake MI. This house looks like it’s in excellent condition and offered at a great price. There are numerous, beautiful homes that are similar.

So many great features! The carriage house, newel post, that wood edged tub. Tastefully done!

All it needs is a comical roof on the turret

There is actually a railing that is missing and was never replaced – there is a “skylight” that opens on the sloped roof in the attic leading out to the deck! We were the owners that did the original renovations in 2003-2005.

Some of the details on this home are stunning! The newel post is SO GORGEOUS !!!! The woodwork is so lovely. The butlers pantry, geez I love it!! The kitchen has been nicely redone without making it too sleek or contemporary. I love the little covered drive through portico on the side. This is a great Queen Anne!

I have the same fireplace mantle in my front parlor and it hasn’t been white-washed. If I recall, there was a company that made a lot of these mantles in the Midwest during the time my house and this house was built. The only difference between mine and this one is that I still have all the original ceramic tile around the firebox. One of these days I’m going to commission a potter to copy the tile and re-do the hearth area.
