This one deserves a big OHD group hug. What a wistful beauty.
    Bless it’s old house heart.

It really doesn’t look as bad as you would think! I’m sure there’s work to be done that we can’t see, but what we can see looks pretty good! By the way Ms Cora, you have a very pretty picture. Always thought so.

Well thank you Annabelle! How sweet.

That photo is from a playbill of a local theater group I sometimes work for. They have the ability to “fix me up” (aka airbrush) really well. ??

Such a cute house. I wonder what’s really wrong with it for it be such a great deal? I even like the color.

    Incredible. $15K!

    And on a nice street.

The house looks more rundown than a wreck.

    Just lovely.

    Wow. $15K!

(The 5-shade chandelier is by Lightolier. VERY nice.)

You always manage to find the best homes, Cora. This is certainly another one. It has great bones and the condition doesn’t look too bad. The price looks to be a bargain as well. It would be nice to see more pictures.

I absolutely love the tremendous curb appeal of this one. Very tastefully restored this could be a real head turner! StreetView reveals nice neighborhood full of beautiful structures. I had never thought of placing a picnic table next to my front sidewalk.

I’m confused. The realtor link lists the price at $123,778, which is higher than the average median sales price for the area. If it’s only $15,900, I’m sure many could be a cash buyer, but may need a loan for repairs/restoration. At the $123,778 price, I’d not look twice at it. It looks lovely and worth restoring, but not for over 100K, especially for an as-is foreclosure.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise. The state of the outside made me believe the inside would need a lot more work, but this one is still so beautiful…unpainted woodwork, gorgeous mill work. amazing light fixtures. No photos of kitchen, bath, attic, basement, etc, which I would love to see, but this one is just lovely. I hope someone loves her. Aren’t taxes quite high in VT?

  10. I live a few miles down the road from here and pass it daily going into work. Whoever bought it seems to be fixing it up slowly – though more progress has been made in the past month or so. I am excited to see what they do with this beautiful house. It was one I looked at when looking for homes in this area.
