Can someone please explain the gate/door in photo #10. There is the solid panel with the cute latch & right behind it there is a regular door. Thanks.
I think it is a bit of an illusion. The red door is to another room, and is opened to a hallway in no. 10. See no. 11 where it is closed. Either that or funky things happen over the course of 250 years!
