Despite no interior photos, had to post! The exterior is so interesting, maybe someone can get us a peek inside (of course there could be a reason no interior photos but…my imagination runs wild looking at that front door.)

      – – And mine for the carriage house peeking out from around back. That’s quite an enticing ask at $30K! I’m sure there are issues; and the taxes are probably $30K a year – heheheh.

If you check out the street view, go to the side street, S. Pleasant, and glance across the back yards – you get a little more of the carriage house and the back of the main house.

Kelly, you’re killing me today. My discontent with my current lot grows with every post 🙂 Just kidding, sort of. What a fantastic house, again.

Watertown Assessment records are a wonder of modern organization. Really. https://www.watertown-ny.gov/index.asp?NID=109 Only three pics, but you get a full view of the carriage house, with door up. The Smith family owned it for about 30 years, then sold it for $47.000 in Aug 2017. That person is now selling, for less than purchase price. It does make one wonder. Tried the local historic societies for info, but no luck.

It worked! You just have to click the “Public Access” button and it will go to the photo page.

It looks like a Veterans Affairs office is now the owner so I wonder if the house was left to them in an estate? Maybe they are just selling it to get any profit they can without having to put money into it?

I too am very intrigued by this house and wonder if there are any other great original details left inside!

    THIS for $30K?

I assumed it must be across the street from a super fund site? Or open coal mining? Or the Kardashians?

    But nope. All looks good.

    So, THIS for $30K????????

So intriguing! I think I prefer it in red and white!

No inside pictures?! It did say the previous owners had lived there for thirty years.

I went in this house last week. BEAUTIFUL staircase directly in middle when you walk in front door with all original wood not painted and as you look up, the staircase goes up and to the right. just stunning. original light fixtures. antique claw foot tubs. the house was trashed – covered in garbage, diapers, clothing, pizza boxes, etc. All original hardwood floors. had a second butlers set of stairs that went from third floor to second floor, & so on down to basement and also led to the side door i presume was used by the ‘help’ back in its prime. Very historic home. it hurt my heart that were was already an accepted offer on it. i should have taken photos.

Thanks for the update. I hope somebody’s going to restore it to its former beauty.
