UNIQUE ANTIQUE SUMMER HOME SET JUST OUTSIDE QUAINT JACKSON VILLAGE. The Hilldrift House is peacefully set back from the road on a large 2.7 acre lot. This home still retains all the charm from an era gone by--original woodwork, built-ins and wood floors in great condition. The home features over 1200 square feet of outdoor living space on two levels with massive decks and porches, five fireplaces, library, walk-up attic and so much more. The property has recently been surveyed, and there is a new septic design, new drilled well in 2016, new hot water heater and new electric panels (200 amp service). The home needs updates to make it functional for year-round use, i.e., heating, insulation and wiring. The home is being sold as is.

    Thanks Tim O. for sharing!

Such perfection it makes me ache with longing. I’d replace the ugly 80’s pendants in the kitchen with period fixtures sympathetic to the rest of the lighting in the house, and that’s about it.

Wow. This one’s a real survivor. Breaks my heart to think that it will probably be “updated” and significantly altered = ugh 🙁 A real treat to see it in it’s original state anyway. Too much to hope it will find an owner who loves it enough to basically leave it the ____ alone. Well spotted TimO. Amazing…

Have to agree with the above comment. This one needs to be kept as original as possible because it is awesome as is. The porches are incredible. May the right buyer get this one.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this one. One of the few I’d be willing to hop in the car to go see. (probably only 5-6 hours from where I live).

Summer would be too short, I would want to live in this year round!

I felt like I was looking at an antique hunting lodge of yesteryear! A movie set where a group of people are staying and during a huge snowstorm, who of them ends up dead! I’d love to own this!

I was so thrilled to see an original kitchen complete with vintage stove! Reminded me of my great grandmothers kitchen ♡♡♡

When did the trend start of painting shingle style homes tan or light grey ? It should have stayed dark brown or faded natural shingles with dark green to beige trim ! Just my opinion !

What a place to spend summer. Can’t you just see a bunch of children running in and out of this house all day long?

    Hey guys,
The real buyers got it. It will be restored but kept in its original condition with all the woodwork intact. Looking forward to working on it.
