This is just down the street from the folks that purchased this home posted a while back.

Thanks Chris for sharing! He’s got a website now about George F. Barber homes: CottageSouvenirs.com

All I can say is awesome! This isn’t my favorite style of house, but what’s not to love! The only thing I might do is tone down that yellow room. Love the kitchen!

Is there anyone that could walk in to this house and not say “home”? This is the mental representation of a home for those of us who like old houses. Grab a little paint and some pruning shears and you are in. I would take this house in a heartbeat!

I was totally blown away with the tour of the inside of this house. Kudos to the photographer, great photos. The outside doesn’t speak what the inside looks like, that doesn’t mean I don’t like the outside, it’s just that the inside was mind blowing. Really nice!

Beautiful home and I agree, it just speaks “I’m home”. What I call a holiday house. I wish the front porch was still original. I love how it dips like the waves on the ocean.

I am not big on the outside style but the inside is just amazing…now where is Hamlet, NC?

Hamlet is an hour and 45 minutes or so east of Charlotte close to the South Carolina line. It is just north of both Society Hill and Cheraw, S.C.; homes from both places were posted here at OHD in the last week or so.

It’s a lovely house. And I’m not normally a fan of HDR photography, but even I’m impressed that it has made the ironing board look so good!

All WHAT noise? Fantastic house, though!

Beautiful. The current home owner knows home decor. I think I would change my “stuff” to match these perfect colors.

    Oh. My.

Craftsman exterior with Victorian flavor interior. And are those the original windows in the basement?!
I wouldn’t even have to move my loom or my stained glass workshop.
