That second-floor porch over the main porch seems to be standard in many Foursquares in Roanoke. We looked at the local cubes when in town last year on vacation.

I love this house! Thank you for posting.

  3. This looks like a nice house but there is a large rail-yard that you have to cross over to get to the greenway that has no convenient crossovers from this location.

What a wonderful house with beautiful gardens, the sleeping porch is a nice bonus, too!

Great gardens and the woodwork inside is just gorgeous. The kitchen island doesn’t blend well so I would remove it and put wooden one.

I have drooled over this house for a long time. Most of the neighborhood and this part of Roanoke is filled with equally lovely homes, some loved dearly, some in need of love.
Hope someone comes along to keep it loved! The woodwork and doors in this house are just divine as is the staircase and light fixtures. Nice to see them left original!
