Nothing jarring here; as faithful as they could be over the years to retain the spirit while keeping it habitable for modern tastes.

This is perfection! The only thing I change is the pineapple etched in the shower door glass. Just beautiful!

PeppperRead when you mentioned the pineapple I remembered a reno show (can’t remember the name of it, it’s not one of the popular ones) and the pineapple is a symbol of some sort of hospitality and status … beautiful house.

Yes Colonial “Pineapple” symbol meant hospitality and prosperity! Commonly used throughout Colonial America. This home & property has been wonderfully restored & yet, has practical modern day comforts. 2 Dining areas? One for formal and one for Breakfast Lunch divided by old Fireplace to the kitchen.
Can you imagine Family and Friends Gathered here for the Holidays? Perfection!!
The Murals make my heart skip a beat! WOW!

With all due respect to those who love the mural, unless it truly is very old, it would be the first thing I would paint. That said, if it was indeed old, I would learn to appreciate it out of respect to the history of the house.

I think the kitchen is beautiful, but I would want to redo the bathrooms to look closer to a turn of the 20th century style. I think this period is much more in keeping with the house given that the first interior bathroom would likely have appeared somewhere around 1900-ish. Otherwise, there is so very much to love in this home.
