Wm. Bevin House, ca. 1748, is a rare 1 1/2 story central chimney Saltbox. This historic home has post and beam construction, fieldstone foundation, is sheathed with planks and clapboards and cedar shake roof replaced 6 years ago. The house has original wide board flooring, with both front parlors being fully paneled. The east parlor has been used as a Master Bedroom for a number of years. There are 3 functioning fireplaces with the kitchen fireplace-cook area featuring a beehive oven. The home has upgraded mechanicals including 200 amp electrical service, newer boiler servicing steam heat cast iron radiators, a drilled well with 2 year old pump and connected to town sewer system. Kitchen features carved granite sink and period cabinetry. This is an antique home in period condition.
