Stately 1800's victorian with much of it's original character still intact. Natural woodwork, solid wood doors, stained glass windows, hardwood floors and detailed exterior woodwork. Secret turret room on 3rd level and additional living space in basement. Would make a great Bed & Breakfast property or multifamily home. Property in need of major TLC and being sold as-is. Secondary VAST trail nearby. Could be purchased as a package with MLS #4451150 if desired.

If anyone local can view this and take pics, I’d love to post them! (Legally, do not trespass!)
What an intriguing place! I sure hope someone can get some interior pictures!
Dog gone it! Thought I might be able to get my son in law who lives in Essex, VT to get some pix but it’s a wee bit too far. 🙁 Trying to think if we know anyone closer but no one comes to mind. Sorry folks.
I’m amazed that so much exterior detail remains, given the condition. What a stunning house this could be again!
I live about 15 mins from this house. But do not know much about it, it’s gorgeous & I would love to see the inside. I have been looking for an house like this for quite some time, I nay be interested in buying. If I go to see the house I will be sure to share pictures !!
If there’s that much detail work on the outside, I bet there’s some really great woodwork on the inside! I’d love to know what this place looked like originally.
Believe me when I say there is some amazing untouched woodwork inside. Door and window casings, floor boards, wood floors, staircases and more. In the turret on the left therevis a secret staircase that goes up to a single bedroom in the turret!
I am the listing agent and would be happy to show the house to anyone with serious interest to purchase. There are no interior photos posted because the interior needs a clean out and renovation.

No worries,we’re used to seeing the real beauty through all the mess and dirt. 🙂
I’d be happy to send photos upon request.
I’d like to see interior photos [including the basement!] too. But i don’t want to post my email address publicly. Is there a way around this? Thanks!

I’m just a looky-loo in this case, but I’m not afraid of pics of crummy interiors. They give an indication of how much work needs to be done. Inspiration for restoration.

Me too,I’m not buying this house,it’s not even in the state I’m looking for.
BUT I think that what 90% of “normal” people think is a “wreck” of a house,is what people like us drool over.
Interesting house but I have to wonder about hillside movement. The porches need some foundation work from what I can see from the photos and the back porch needs some restructure. This seems well priced but serious consideration will need to be taken as to exterior landscaping to deal with water runoff, given its price it looks like a doable house.
Looks to be a great house with possibilities once we see the interior.
Oh, i just love this one! I’d love to see interior photos! The “Property in need of major TLC and being sold as-is.” warning makes me think it’s probably not in such good shape though.
Is the smaller “house” part of the property? It appears to be so since it’s in a lot of the photos.
There is a detached carriage barn with the victorian. There is also a neighboring house on it’s own lot that could be purchased with this house for a total price of $169,900.
I’m an Australian from Sydney & am in awe of this beautiful property & it’s incredibly low price. I too would love to see pics from inside of original features. Just to drool over.

This one looks like it just flew in from Little Rock. How fun. Hope the agent gets that the person who buys this house is likely going to be one of us, and interested in restoring the house as opposed to “renovating”. I’ll bet a nickel the cluttered interior holds at least a handful of fun goodies an old house geek would love. Hope we get to see it..

Thank you to the agent, interior photos added!

I hope somebody saves this.
Great glass and woodwork!
If I were buying,I’d prefer they NOT “clean out” the house. It looks like a few jems are in there.
Cool! Lots to do there to make your own…
Unfortunately, this house was purchased this past year, the stained glass windows have been removed, and it’s slated to be demolished within the next couple of months. One of my favorites in the area and one that I’ve photographed for my Vermont abandonment book.

I’ve been wondering about this one. That’s disappointing. Thanks for the update. When they officially demolish, let us know and I’ll mark it as such.

What a shame
