Zillow shows an outline of the property line, I assume is approximate. About half of the property is a boggy area with a drive going through the middle to a highway maintenance garage. From the aerial the garage is far enough that you probably don’t see it out the back yard.

Very charming. I love the long windows in front. I am curious about the batten-like strips on the walls and ceilings. My first thought was that the walls had been replaced with sheetrock and someone just didn’t want to tape the seams, but I suppose it could be an original feature. Has anyone ever seen something like this before? Also unusual to have a side hall house with the staircase on the inside wall.

I drive through Cornwall all the time, its a beautiful place to live with great schools and nice neighbors – this is farmland. There are a lot of NY weekend and summer homes in Cornwall, a beautiful historic covered bridge. It’s a popular destination for Fall day trips and it’s close to Limerock Raceway.

Love the house – wish there were more pictures of the kitchen – and proximity of the maintenance crew means your roads will be plowed first, last and well!

    Delightful house. Great barn!

I like the feel and simplicity of this house. The barn is nice looking too. Looks like a great house to just hang out, read books and ignore the world for a month or 2. Maybe eventually get a job with the road crew so your commute is easy.

Too bad it is only 2 beds, a bit too small for us. You would think at 1300sf it would be a 3-bed at least, but I guess not.

I think this is in Cornwall Hollow. So many designers have had a house there. Lovely spot.

I should post that this is the getaway for people who aren’t into the Hamptons

Beaver Board was marketed in the early 20th century. Any thoughts about what may be behind the Beaver Board in this house?

Whatever’s behind it, I’d have to get that exposed. The beaverboard would go! I like this house a lot — 6 over 6 windows, check; nice wide-board floors, check; handy pantry, yum. I’d buy the barn by itself with pleasure — what a beauty! And all of it in gorgeous countryside.
