The scant images offer a tantalizing possibility: this might be a highly alluring house!
So intriguing, and my favorite style–Italianate that’s nice and unremuddled.
Lovely Italianate style house here that is remarkably intact (at least from what is seen on the exterior) I’d certainly want to see more interior photos but since its an auction property, it is presumed the bidder will have inspected the house before bidding. Good luck to any Old House Dreams readers who plan to do so-it’s a fine example from the period.

They didn’t show the best part! Huge built in pantry, glorious pocket doors, fantastic carved banister with curved staircase. Used to own this house- sad to see it unloved!
Beautiful! I love the curvy walls….why do we never have curvy walls anymore? They’re so appealing.
My husband and I just bought this house. Hes a medically retired veteran so bringing it back to its former beauty will be a slow process for us, but I am so excited to get started!

Congratulations! That is great news!
Thank you! This is my dream house. The only thing that would make it better is being out of town a little, but Corning is a nice little place.

Andrea, I just saw this house on Monday. To me it looked like it had been abandoned for years, but now I see you were fixing it up in 2016. I could not see it very well it was raining that day and I did not see the improvements you had made. I was so shocked to find this on a old house dreams and then to find that you had purchased it, because it’s on the market again. I saw your pictures repairing the house and I am so sad that you were not able to keep it. I absolutely loved it and was waiting for VPM to put a price on it. Can you tell me why did you not keep it and/or did it end up being a bigger repair than you thought in the beginning. I don’t mean to be nosy but I would consider buying it and just wondering why You no longer have that gorgeous house. Thank you.
We’ve done quite a bit of work to the outside of the house, doing a “period correct” paint job. You wouldn’t believe the difference already. I can’t add pics here so I’m going to start a page somewhere to upload pics of our progress. As soon as I get it started I’ll post the page address so you can follow our journey if you’re interested. 🙂

Can’t wait to see, thanks for the update Andrea!
Ok, here is our FB page for the house where I’ve uploaded pics of work so far, and we should be posting weekly updates. 🙂

Awesome, thanks!
You’re welcome!
Fantastic, Andrea. I’ll be sure to “like” your page. From the photos I quickly glanced at, I can see this house is truly a labor of love. It is going to look like a showplace again when you have it completed. Thanks for sharing the FB link and good luck as you get nearer to your goal.
