103 S Buell St, Perryville, KY 40468
This is a remarkable home situated in a quaint community with all of the historical significance you could ask for! It dates back to approximately 1825 and is known as the "Mud House" on the Perryville walking tour. This home sits on a hill overlooking the Chaplin River. There is an easement with the National Trust for Historic Preservation to sign with the deed that stipulates what can and cannot be done to this property. It does need some work on the exterior, roof, siding, decorative gingerbread, as well as some cosmetic repairs on the interior. Both bathrooms have been upgraded recently, along with some electrical work. Interior has exposed hand hewn hardwood beams, and exposed mud wall showing the historical significance of the property. Outside you will find a oak picket fence and a historical smoke house/storage building.
