Needs a paint job. Brown on brown on brown does nothing for this old beauty. Prime contender to be a painted lady.

Yeah outside and inside just do not match and areas inside do not match each other someone please help this old lady out! lol 🙂

It’s weird but I like the exterior a lot better than the interior, even with the brown on brown color scheme. I’m sure I’d still like it if it had a more colorful paint-job, though.

This is a very nice home for someone. It has been well taken care of the pictures show. 🙂

I love this house, too. I wonder if the color schemes may be explained by gender: the husband had his choice of exterior colors whereas the wife had her choice of interior colors.

Yet another spectacular George Barber designed home. Nearly 1400 of them and counting. Keep up the great work Kelly.

Awesome, I didn’t even think it could be one. Thanks Chris!

Ok, I think Le Mars is my new favorite Iowa town. Spent about a hour snooping around the town (via Google Maps), and found 4 other Barber designs. I’ll bet there even more there. I really need a road trip !

You guys will be glad to know that it has since been painted! I’ll share a picture next time I’m home in Iowa.

Tyler, can’t wait so see the new paint job. Hopefully a little brighter than the last one. When you get back to Le Mars, shoot me an email message (crdimattei@gmail.com), there are several historic homes there (Barber designs) that I would love to get up to date photos of, if you are interested. Thanks.
