Pretty! Loads of potential between the house and the grounds.

A lot of vernacualr Victorian house for the money… (3,000+ sq. ft. plus over a acre of land) No need to talk here about good “bones” either; the house appears to be in good repair and only needing updates and changes to suit the new owner’s tastes. But, as is often the case, it is in South Charleston, OHIO and location here, as it does everywhere, trumps everything else. All of the upper U.S. Midwest should be designated a “Preservation” zone with special tax incentives to bring in old house lovers to restore the thousands of gems needing caring new owners. Otherwise, a tragic number of these once fine homes will likely disappear forever in the coming years.

What beautiful pocket doors! So sad about the state of things as John said… these are the things that suffer in a failing economy. 🙁

I use to live here and loved this home very much. It still has 7 gas lamps that are still in working order.

I use to live here. These are not very good pictures at all. The house is gorgeous inside and out. Something unusual about the house is that on the right side inside the house the woodwork is one style and on the left side of the house, the woodwork is another style. I’ve always wondering the story behind that. Wish I could post pictures on here. The house also has 7 original gas lamps that still work.
