I agree with the above 2 comments, but I also have to say that the built-in corner cupboard in the kitchen, old-fashioned telephone and pet door in the kitchen is awesome! You have to admire, also the beautiful murals in the upper floor leading up the 3rd (?) floor. That is very beautiful and should be photographed for posterity, in case another loser decides to paint over that beauty.

My boyfriend is actually the buyer of this house, and I am his girlfriend who lives here as well and decided to search for the house and I am very surprised to find this! I must say, we feel exactly the same as you guys do about the back, and we are doing everything to keep the house within its victorian beauty. And of course, our favorite part of the house is the mural, and we will never touch it! It’s beautiful. We are just doing some simple updates, cosmetically on the inside. We want it to be more updated and yet embrace the beauty that it holds within it’s walls. If any of you know what the style ‘steam punk’ is, we are mixing that with it while keeping its victorianesque look. We LOVE this place! <3

I LOVE the steam punk style, even before I knew that is what it was. A million times please, post some pics somewhere of what you do with the place! I’d love to see them! 🙂

      Soooo jealous!

I found the listing and had to see the house. My niece, who lives in Lowell, helped me find it. It was breathtaking in person, still is. We drive by it every time I visit her, which is fairly often. No matter day or night, we visit this house every time we get together. (We expect the stalking police to “move us along” one day.) Glad to hear you’re keeping the murals and honoring the architectural history of this beauty.

I live around the corner from this wonderful house. I have to say it is my favorite house in all of Lowell and the most beautiful house I’ve ever been inside of. I cried the day the bulldozers ripped out the orchard, that gorgeous gazebo porch, and the carriage house(!) This house is the pride of the neighborhood. I wish I could have bought it and saved it before they destroyed all that they did.

I am very very excited to read that the new owners love it and are going to do some steampunk style inside! That is so cool! I LOVE steampunk and all things victorian! We were worried that maybe flippers bought it. Yay! That makes me feel so much better!

Our artists painted the mural – we loved this job! See our website for more at http://www.arteriors.net

Hey, I’m the owner of this house and I was planning to post more pics on this site but I never got around to it. So, if anyone is interested in seeing more pictures of my house you can check me on Instagram at millcitymoments. It’s a life style account but, there’s a bunch of pics of my home, with the new garage, driveway and 900sqft deck, the city etc…
