  1. There is a very good reason that this house is soooo beautiful. It is because it was designed by George F. Barber. It is a slightly modified version of design #45 from the Modern Dwellings pattern book published in 1901. This house existed long before the rest of the sub-destruction was built!

  2. I have since learned that this house was moved in order to be saved from demolition. That is why it appears out of character with the neighborhood. Also, the chimney on the left side of the house has had its top removed due to crumbling mortar, but it exists to just below the roof line. Therefore, the new owners can rebuild this chimney from the roof line up, and make the fireplaces below function again.
