Beautiful, unspoiled, and at risk — both from neglect and from the over-“restoration” that too often attends a relatively small house like this. Terrific details for a house of its modest size.

Its a shame the balcony with its sheaf of wheat motif railing was removed. Great house though.

This was my great-grandparents house. I remember going there when I was little. I remember so much about it! I wish I had the money to fix it up..

I had to go to a business meeting in in fall 2014 in Durham. A friend was RAVING about this house.. I surprised him with a 100 photos (a selfie of me in front of it) and he was SO JEALOUS… the house is was nice inside, untouched really, but there was a broken window upstairs. and thousands of bees in a window. UGH.

is it still sitting there empty or has someone bought it? any more pics to share?

I missed this the first time around . . . quite intriguing and worth taking a look at, as the addition of the land makes this very cool old home even more attractive.

Id love to move back down there,I could do most of the work myself, getting the down payment together would be my problem.I was actually looking for something really small,750 Square ft.max, that house is to me big,it wood be a lot of fun fixing it though,a lot of work too.

James, I am afraid money keeps many of us from purchasing one of these lovely old homes. However, I would need one I could live in while the work was being done.

Call me crazy but I think this may have been moved to across the street.
Current location, it was across the street. I almost see the driveway where it was moved.
