The year that Buffalo Bill hunted buffalo to feed railroad crews; Alaska was purchased; Andrew Johnson took the Presidency; and Nebraska became our 37th State. That same year, Onarga, Il. was the most active center of learning in Iroquois county and thus the school was erected with additions to follow in 1898 and 1939. Currently it is the full time residence of local artisans. The building is nestled on 3.9 secluded acres, amongst many oak, fir and fruit trees.
