Once in a lifetime opportunity. Become the proud owner of this amazing property featuring Loyalist Neoclassical architecture built at the beginning of the eighteen hundreds by one of the original founding fathers of Bath, Ontario. Meticulously kept grounds with mature perennials and varieties of decorative and fruit trees make way to the unique main entrance. The distinctive front door with one of a kind transom opens into a gracious foyer dominated by a 10 plus foot archway and soaring ceilings above the main staircase. This unique home has been largely preserved with its original flooring, multiple fireplaces and intricate wood mill workings throughout. Four hundred (400) amp wiring, insulation, plumbing, roof, furnaces and roof have all been updated in recent years. Ten foot ceilings and brick fireplaces grace all four principal rooms. With more than 4,800 square feet of living space this home has one amazing room after another to explore. The main floor has been modified with the addition of a large bedroom, full bath, and partial kitchen to accommodate in-laws and guests. An original summer kitchen features a back staircase which once served as an earlier access to the second level bedrooms by house servants. Throughout various storage and utility rooms you will have access to a huge 61 foot garage with an extensive woodworking workshop attached. An additional parcel of land about 20 by 400 feet runs from the workshop and then in behind several properties. The deep fertile soil there makes for exceptional garden opportunities.
