Outside the home is as beautiful as the inside! You can get the true feel of living in the peacefulness of nature. The property has a small creek branch that runs on the west property line, a spring feed lake, and a large year around creek. The Tennessee River and state park are located just down the road from the home. On this 10-acre tract you have room to garden, play, or just sit and watch the wildlife. Not only can you own a piece of Perry County history but a gorgeous property as well.

Nice house-I love the wood! But, what did they do with the original bannister?

  3. !!! My 6th great uncle…I’ve been meaning to go over there and find this house, since I’m only about 30 minutes away. I heard it was one of the oldest one in the Perry County. It’s in much better shape than I had anticipated…most of the ones I photograph are barely hanging in there. And some, have lost the battle, during our last round of real bad storm that came thru last winter.
And, the coolest thing is that my family is from Texas! We’ve been here about 15 yrs, so it’s like when I find these places, it’s like I’ve come full circle…back to the beginning (b4 I began)!

  4. James Dickson is my 5th Great Grandfather! I would love to visit this home soon.
