What fantastic looking roof shingles. They go great with the pebbly porch.

What a great home. I agree with the 3D tour- it shows so many pretty details! I really love the windows and all of that gorgeous unpainted wood!

Excellent! Some minor updates in the kitchen and baths but pretty much as built. I love the informal decor and the lived-in, timeworn quality of the place.

From the NRHP nomination for the South Park Historic District:
John Harman, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, designed two Craftsman bungalows (208 and 216 Park) in 1911, which are exemplary examples of the rambling, picturesque house that expresses all the “natural” and “honest” elements that are hallmarks of the style.

I don’t know about “rambling”; but I do agree with them that this house is decidedly a fine, fine, example of true Craftsman style, such that it exhibits qualities which ARE “natural” and “honest”; having a strong sense of the hand crafted; with many examples of fine, very minimally embellished, joinery and cabinetry; all pretty clearly by the same hand, (less a few likely store bought bits like the sideboard).

Sure is pretty; beautifully preserved; and for sure “Excellent!”. 🙂

“True” Craftsman bungalows, (which is to say bespoke, and unique), are rare; and exciting to see when they do pop up.

These rooms sure would look amazing with some Arts & Crafts wallpaper accents; and painted some rich, earth tones to pick up on the wood and tile.

Perfect. Ticks all my Craftsman boxes. I particularly like a Craftsman with this darker tone of wood. Windows, tiled bathrooms, original kitchen cabinets, flanking fireplace benches, boxed beam ceilings. It’s all here.

Check out the “street” link to see what the house looked like before! The owners took a House that needed some love and attention and made her sparkle once again!
