I really, really like this house. It needs some sprucing up but not too much IMO. It’s not overdone, but just beautiful in it’s own right. I would be proud to own this one.

The beauty of this house is there does not seem to be a lot that has to be un-done.

I love this old girl; the. word that comes to mind is “shadowy,” in a good way. The cloudy day, the muted colors, the dark woodwork . . . I adore it. I love that the kitchen is not updated. A little change in the footprint would have to be made though, as I don’t care to have my back catch on fire while doing the dishes!

Totally agree about the kitchen. Unmolested and with a bit of re-arrangement. . .nice! My only other comment would be about the rhododendrons that mostly cover up the pretty Victorian loveliness. (I’m no fan of Rhodies, which is totally verboten here in Oregon where they’re just everywhere!)

What a pretty house – with a kitchen worthy of inclusion in Jay’s link exchange discussion…

  5. I adore this home. Kudos to the owners for taking such good care of it, (and NOT painting white everywhere). The woodwork is lovely.
